Why use it
WMV is Microsoft's Windows Media Video format, common in older Windows software, Movie Maker projects and presentations. Browsers can't play it, so FixGif makes a quick preview first.
A GIF made from a WMV clip can be dropped into slides, documents and emails, where it plays without any player.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put the GIF in PowerPoint?
Yes. GIFs play automatically in PowerPoint, Google Slides and Keynote.
Is my WMV file uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
