Why use it
MOV is Apple's QuickTime format, used by iPhone videos and Mac screen recordings. Newer iPhones record in HEVC (H.265), which this converter reads too.
Screen recordings make great GIFs for tutorials and bug reports. Keep the width at 480–640 px so text stays readable while the file stays small.

Why can't my browser preview the MOV file?
